How does one describe the 2009 running of the European Finals? Let’s start with a statement of fact. This meeting saw the best dragbike racing in European championship history. The action in UEM Top Fuel was record shattering with Peter and Soren Svensson giving the huge crowd the best display of fuel bike racing seen outside of the McBride stable, UEM Super Twin was drama personified in the destination of the series title and the event win, whilst UEM Pro Stock Bike was astounding with the European record being reset repeatedly throughout the event. We’ve had a few seasons where the weather has prevented a true representation of where European drag racing was at, but this event will be talked about in bench racing sessions for years to come as the one to have been at.
